Anita Bean: BSc Nutrition Expert
Anita is one of the UK's most respected nutritionists and award-winning authors, specialising in sports nutrition, children's nutrition and weight management. She has written 15 best-selling books, broadcasts regularly on TV and radio, and contributes to numerous newspapers and magazines.
Anita is a registered nutritionist with a degree in nutrition and food science from Surrey University. She is a member of the Nutrition Society and the Guild of Health Writers. She has worked as a freelance nutritionist and health writer since 1990, having previously worked in health education and the food industry.
Anita has worked as a consultant nutritionist to McDonald's since March 2003 and in that time has helped steer McDonalds nutritional strategy and advise on new product development, including the re-launch McDonald's Happy Meal menu for children in March 2005, the Salads Plus and new Breakfast menus. She provided the nutritional and fitness dimensions of the Yums Chums TV advertisement campaign and has helped develop the educational materials for the Football in the Community campaign. Anita is also a member of the McDonald's Mums Panel.
