Kenny Dalglish: McDonald's Head of Scottish Football

Kenny Dalglish Kenny Dalglish is one of the living legends of football in the UK. He made his first team debut for Celtic in October '69 and went on to help them win nine league titles in a row, establishing himself as the league's most prized asset.

A British record transfer fee of £440,000 took him to Liverpool in 1977, and proved his worth to his new club on the biggest stage of all by scoring the winning goal in the European Cup Final for Liverpool in 1978. He then became an integral part of a period of dominance for Liverpool home and abroad.

His success at club level was mirrored internationally, where he played a record 102 times for Scotland and scored 30 goals.

As player and coach his trophy cabinet was always full. Altogether he won eight championships, two FA Cups, four League Cups and three European Cups.
