Emily Goldie Ben was introduced to water-skiing in 2002 and soon established himself as a young 'footer with great potential. He is currently ranked 2nd in the Junior Boys World Ranking, and was 1st in the Europe rankings and the Overall European Junior Champion 2005.

He kick-started his career by winning both Junior Slalom and Tricks at his first GB Nationals in 2003, setting a new Dauphin record for Tricks in the process.

He then gained selection to the GB Junior Team at both the European and World Championships in 2003 where he took the Bronze in both Tricks and Slalom events in the European tournament.

2004 was a successful season for Ben starting with the Meridian Challenge in Duisburg, Germany where he won all three disciplines. At the European Championships he competed in the junior and open divisions, securing a personal best and winning the Gold medal in Junior Tricks, a Silver medal in Slalom and a Bronze in Jump.

2005 was even more successful for Ben by joining the Open Elite team as well as the Junior Team. At the Junior Worlds in South Africa, Ben secured a 4th place in Tricks and a place in two Finals.

He won the Junior Division of the GB national series securing him the position of top junior boy under 18 in Great Britain. He went on to come 1st again in the junior division with four Gold's at the Meridian Challenge in Austria.

He also competed in both junior and open team divisions at the 2005 European Championships where he secured a personal best in tricks of 4590 and won Gold medals in Junior Tricks, Slalom, Jump and Overall events.

His best achievement so far has been his performance at the European Championships where he won a Bronze medal in Open Mens overall. In 2006 Ben compeated at the 2006 World Championships in the USA.
