Barefoot Water Skier

Emily Goldie Following in the footsteps on her brother Dan - already a successful barefoot water skier - Emily began her career in 2002. She is currently ranked 8th in the Junior Girls World Ranking.

A full-time rower with her school, this level of fitness combined with her dedicated skiing training paid off in 2003 when she was selected for the first time to join the GB Junior Team for both the 2003 European Championships and the 2003 Junior Worlds.

In 2004, Emily played her part in a successful season for the GB Team at both Junior and Open Level. At the European Championships, she won Gold medals in Junior Girls Slalom, Tricks, Jump and Overall. She also picked up team gold medals in both Junior and Open Division.

In July 2005 she competed in the World Games in Duisburg, Germany and won a bronze medal in the Open Women's division after coming 5th in slalom, 3rd in jump and 2nd in tricks. Later in 2005 at the European (EAME) Championships in Albarella, Italy she helped the GB Open and Junior Teams repeat their successes from 2004 by winning Team Gold Medals. At the individual level, Emily won 4 gold medals (slalom, tricks, jump and overall) in the Junior Girls Competition and, in the Open Women's Competition, won a bronze in Slalom, Silver in Jump, Gold in Tricks and Silver in the Overall.

In 2006, she competed at the 2006 World Championships in the USA and picked up a total of six medals, four bronze in Open Women's Slalom, Jump and Overall and Junior Girls Overall and two silver in Junior Girls Tricks and Slalom. She also set a new British Women's Tricks record.

She is currently the European Junior Girls Overall Champion and the European Women's Trick Champion.
