AISLING WILLIAMS

After overcoming injury, the last few months have been extremely busy for Aisling.
In June she competed in an International match against China followed by a trip in July to Shanghai to compete in the Gymnastics World Cup. July also saw the British World Championships in which Aisling was placed 3rd overall. August saw an international match against Romania and in September, she competed in another international one day match against Switzerland.
Congratulations are to be extended to Aisling on the news that she has just been selected to represent Great Britain at the World Championships in Denmark (16th -21st October). Next Year Ash is hoping Team GB can qualify for the World Championships that will take place in Stuttgart, and after that, her sights are still firmly set for Beijing 2008.
"I am so thrilled to be representing Great Britain at my first World Championships, especially as I have only just returned after injury. Being selected is definitely the highlight of my year, although my visit to Shanghai to take part in an international competition was also very exciting. It gave me a taste of what Beijing might be like in 2008!"
