Champion Kids

official restaurant - Beijing 2008

The Olympic Games is the world's greatest sporting spectacle – a magical experience where records are broken, legends are made and athletes fulfil their dreams.

This summer, McDonald's is giving British youngsters the chance to experience the Olympic Games for themselves through its new Champion Kids programme. Spearheading this exciting and exclusive programme is James Cracknell, double Olympic gold medallist and McDonald's Director of Olympic Sports.

As an official sponsor of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, McDonald's is taking five lucky youngsters to Beijing to enjoy the event and also report on their experience on this website so everyone back in Britain can get an inside peak into the Olympic Games.

You'll be able to read about their once in a lifetime trip to Beijing which will see them attend Olympic events, as well as sightseeing excursions to Beijing Zoo and the Great Wall and kite flying at the Temple of Heaven.

Plus, see how the excitement starts before they jet off to Beijing as they take part in British-based activities including meeting James Cracknell and the rest of McDonald's Team Sport, a group of young Olympic hopefuls brought together to inspire children to get active.

McDonald's' Champion Kids are currently being recruited through media competitions and you’ll be able to find out who they are and keep track of their amazing experience from June.
