The Apprenticeship position is a permanent role, and the usual length of the training is 8 to 12 months, but everyone's different, so how long it takes is down to you. After completion of the programme, you will be in a great place to continue your McDonald's career with an enhanced understanding of the business.

Rewards and benefits

As a McDonald's Apprentice, you can gain a qualification worth 5 good GCSEs as well as these great benefits:

  • Earn a wage while studying
  • Gain a nationally recognised qualification
  • Gain valuable and transferable skills that will help you succeed

How to apply

Our application process has two stages. First, fill in an online questionnaire, which should only take about half an hour. Then, if you're successful, you'll be invited to the restaurant for an interview and On-Job Evaluation (OJE), where you'll work with the team on the shop floor and have an interview with the Business Manager. Again, all this should take about half an hour.

To apply for a job as a crew member, you'll need to be of school-leaving age (have finished secondary school) and be legally allowed to work in the UK.
