Our work experience programme is open to full-time students aged 14-19 and is designed to support your school or college education. Work with our team for 10 days and meet new people, gain real work experience and learn new skills that will last you a lifetime.

Key responsibilities

As with any role at McDonald's, you will have to show enthusiasm, dedication and a professional attitude. Your work experience will be completed over 10 days and we expect you to be committed to getting the most out of it. Some of our work experience candidates have the opportunity to gain permanent employment with us in the future. For others, the work experience placement helps them build their skills and strengthen their CVs.

As well as gaining valuable work experience with one of the world's leading brands, you may also have the opportunity to work towards a nationally recognised qualification (a Level 2 BTEC Certificate in Work Skills). Check with your school or college to find out if they're working with Edexcel and offer this qualification.

How to apply

Start by finding a restaurant in your area that is offering a placement. Next, complete our online form - this should take about 30 minutes and you'll need the email address of your work experience coordinator handy. If your application is successful you'll be invited to the restaurant for an interview which should take no more than 15 minutes. It's that simple.

It's important to remember that you must be aged 14 -19 years and in full-time education to apply for work experience.
