McDonald's has been a proud supporter of the Olympic Movement for the past 40 years. We are looking forward to welcoming the world in London, as the Official Restaurant of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

McDonald's commitment to the Olympic Movement began in 1968 when the company airlifted hamburgers to U.S. athletes competing in Grenoble, France. We first became an Official Sponsor of the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, and in 1984, McDonald's and our franchisees provided the funds to build the Olympic Swimming Stadium in Los Angeles.

In 1998 we became a worldwide sponsor (TOP) at the Nagano Olympic Winter Games and will continue that commitment through the London 2012 Olympic Games.
