Understanding nutrition

Your daily diet should contain the right amount of calories or kilojoules for your energy needs, as well as a good balance of nutrients such as carbohydrates, fat, protein, and fibre, which are all needed to keep your body healthy.

What are RIs?

Reference Intakes (RI) previously called Guideline Daily Amounts (GDAs) can be used as a guideline to help you see how a particular food contributes to your daily diet. They are based on official recommendations for an average adult and are a guide not a target. You can find both nutrition values and RI information on product packaging and on the back of all tray liners in our restaurants as well as the product pages in this website.
