At McDonald's UK, we only use whole cuts of 100% beef from British and Irish farms, which are minced, shaped into patties and frozen straight away - watch our video to see for yourself.
Just 100% beef…
We have long-term partnerships with beef suppliers we trust – and they make our 100% beef burger patties.
These suppliers employ butchers who chop the beef into whole cuts in accordance with our quality standards. These whole cuts are then minced, shaped into our patties and frozen before being delivered to our restaurants.
Nothing else is added. We don’t wash them in ammonium hydroxide to turn them into “pink slime” (as it’s sometimes called) and no artificial colours or flavours are added.
… with a pinch of salt and pepper
In the restaurant kitchen our crew cook our 100% beef burgers to the high standards we require and our customers expect, using hot grills, which cook them on both sides at once. They don’t add fat or oil to cook the beef patties.
After cooking, the beef patties are seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper. And that’s it.
